Top Builds

Image
Hey everyone, I’m Franky. Today I'm going to talk about the item builds for the top in the league of legend. According to the MSI group match, the new version the carry ability of EZ, Zoey and Graves, is extremely high, so the top still get the duty of pushing and assist the team buy teleport or even teleport onto wards down into enemy’s team to start a fight. These two items give all tank type champions voyage ability and diversionary force which is extremely important for some line-up which prefers to end the game earlier. Banner of command is useful for the group pushing and also making up a big amount of minions to push back as a superwave. Upgrading Catalyst into Abyssal Mask will offer better voyage ability and an aura to increase magic damage.Basically other items in due to enemies champion and situation. Champion aggressive like Camille and Fiora build Tiamat and Tri-Force to solo the line, other teammates group to keep the pressure on other lanes or resou...

The End Times are coming!

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Hey there, it's Brandon here talking about another game which I find quite fun to play. It's called Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and it is a cooperative hack and slash first person game. It is similar to Left For Dead in that the player must cooperate with his teammates against a massive horde of enemies. This game is a sequel to Warhammer: Vermintide (The End Times), and in this sequel it adds new enemies as well and new loot systems. The game is considerably better than the prequel and I find it just great fun to carve through hundreds of rats like a hot knife through butter. The game may seem like a simple hack and slash game at first, which it pretty much is in order to allow new players to get into the swing of things. Later on in the game when the players are looking for a more challenging experience and better loot, things become more tactical as players must work as a team and do specific jobs such as tanking, sniping and crowd control. When it All Goes Wrong – TEAM CHAT

Image
Source: https://www.huffingtonpost.com/jennifer-grossman/date-the-atlas-not-the-sh_b_6114224.html So you had a plan. Everyone took on their roles and did their best, but for whatever reason, it’s all fallen apart. You may have even played really well. It’s not so important, it happens to the best of us. What is important however, is what comes next.   I know how frustrating it can be. How annoyed it can make you when you’ve played really well and still failed, whether that’s because your teammates didn’t follow through on plans, or just didn’t have the skill to push the team to victory. In my experience, there’s only one good option for what to do next. Especially if you’re still in-game and have more rounds to play or objectives to earn, that option is to stay positive. I don’t mean unrealistically, unrelentingly positive. I just mean at least not negative. You could calmly give some advice, but getting angry or going off at your teammates won’t help. That...

Toxicity and the Antidote - TEAM CHAT

Image
Image found at https://i.imgur.com/WMSTprk.png If you’ve played online games you will have witnessed, or even been the subject of your fair share of insults. No matter the game, players will inevitably get mad and hurl abuse at their teammates, the opposing team, the game, their internet connection, or really whatever may be in their line of sight. I think what’s important to remember in these situations is to remain calm and collected. First of all because you should be focusing on playing instead of engaging in a battle of witticisms (see: swearing in caps), and secondly because getting involved always just makes things worse. Getting into an argument is a sure-fire way of causing general frustration for both the opposing team and your own, leading to a bad game.   I know it can be difficult, but the best thing to do when someone starts to flame is to just ignore it and try to stay positive. If they’re on an opposing team, mute them. If they’re on your own, try to ana...

Rainbow Six: Siege a cool shooter between realistic and arcade

Image
Image taken from https://store.steampowered.com/app/359550/Tom_Clancys_Rainbow_Six_Siege/ This is just a little article about a game I like. The type of text will typically talk about a feature of the game I find to be pretty interesting or relate to an article written by someone earlier that week. Ben talked about team play earlier in the week, which allows me to do a weird tangent to the game I’m talking about this week Rainbow Six: Siege. For those unaware, it's a tactical shooter by Ubisoft that is both 1-part run and gun (think call of duty) and 1-part tactics (think ARMA). As the games grow and tournaments organised so do the tactics used by groups. However, this isn't an analysis of professional tactics rather this a something about casual play where the tactics are more guidelines and can be done with very little communication and are simply learnt through observation playing the game.   Here I attempt to elaborate on some of the basic roles that can be...

A Bad Plan is Better Than None – TEAM CHAT

Image
This is the introductory article for my column TEAM CHAT, where I discuss things that I’ve found to have improved my gameplay in team-based games. Be it a raid in WoW or a round of CS:GO, these articles aim to make you a better team member, and your team a more successful and enjoyable one. A bad plan is better than none. Every now and then, the IGL (in-game leader) may set up a strategy that you disagree with, and there may not be time to argue it. Maybe they call for the team to rush, but you think it’ll just result in a spectacular wipe. It’s important in these cases to remember that although their plan might be bad, it will almost always have a higher chance of succeeding than the rest of your team executing the plan and you going off alone. The same goes for questioning the plan while it’s being executed. If the team is in a rush to set up for the strategy and you start to question it, team members may misinterpret the situation and split off, leaving only a fractio...
